Life Time Kids Tri is a three-sport athletic event that introduces young athletes to a fun sport that encourages family fitness. Boys and girls, ages 7–14, will race for the fastest combined time in age-specific swimming, biking, and running events. The swim takes place in the Life Time pool and will be staffed by certified lifeguards. The run and bike events will take place outside on roads or paths, with local police providing course safety.
Two age categories will test all athletes in an achievable but challenging event.
Juniors: ages 7–10
50 yard/meter swim (depending on pool)
2.5 mile bike
.5 mile run
Seniors: ages 11–14
100 yard/meter swim (depending on pool)
5 mile bike
1 mile run
All participants receive a Kids Tri t-shirt, swim cap and finishers medal on event day. First place finishers in each division win a custom "Kids Tri Champion" cycle jersey. The top three individuals in each gender and class will be recognized for the fastest combined time for all three events via chip timing. Award categories will follow USAT guidelines: 7–8, 9–10, 11–12, 13–14.
Professional race photos will be provided by ASI Photography and will be available after each event online.
