The Plymouth Kids Triathlon begins inside the club, utilizing our 8-lane, 25-yard competition-size pool. The transition area is set up on the south end of the parking lot and will be barricaded to keep bikers and spectators separate. The bike and run courses utilitze the miles of scenic trails behind the club taking our young athletes around the ball fields of Plymouth Creek Park, past the Millenium Gardens and finishing at the Hilde Performance Center. For details on each leg of the event, please click the maps above.
Each athlete will be required to check in on race morning between 6:30am–8:15 am. Registration tables will be set up to the left of the main doors outside the club. At check-in, participants will receive their race number, helmet number, swim cap, exact start time and timing chip. Once registration is complete each athlete will be body marked. Body marking consists of writing the race number on the upper arm and age on the back of the calf. This is done to help identify the athletes when they are in the water and on the course.
Once body marking is complete you may head into the transition area to set up your bike. Parents will be allowed into the transition to help set up but will NOT be allowed back into the transition area once the race has begun. The transition area will close at 8:15am and after that no one will be allowed into the barricaded area unless they are racing.
Athletes should report to the pool area at least 15 minutes prior to their start time. Volunteers will hold signs with wave numbers and when your wave number is shown, please head down to the pool deck and connect with the volunteers.
Give a Mom and Dad a good luck hug and kiss and it's off to the races!
